Manchester United are actively preparing a summer bid for Nottingham Forest centre‑back Murillo, with the Brazil international emerging as a key defensive target as the Red Devils look to strengthen their back line.

United’s interest comes as Harry Maguire’s contract nears its end and the club seeks a long‑term successor at centre‑back. Murillo, 23, has impressed in the Premier League since his move to Forest in 2023 and is now on United’s radar thanks to his consistency, composure on the ball, and defensive reliability.

Despite signing a long‑term deal at Forest until 2029, Murillo is open to a big‑club move if the right opportunity arises. United are not alone in the chase — Chelsea are also reportedly interested and could compete for his signature.

Forest are expected to demand a premium fee for their star defender, with estimates suggesting a significant transfer cost due to his quality and potential. United’s recruitment team sees him as a player who could fix a key defensive need and lead the back line for years to come.
