Paris Saint-Germain suffered a shocking home defeat on Friday night after Paris Saint‑Germain lost 3-1 to AS Monaco in an entertaining **Ligue 1 clash at the Parc des Princes. The result shook the French title race and gave rivals hope of closing the gap at the top. 

Monaco started brightly and were rewarded in the 27th minute when Maghnes Akliouche finished a sharp attacking move to put the visitors ahead. PSG struggled to control the game, and the pressure continued to build after halftime. 

The visitors doubled their lead in the 55th minute through Aleksandr Golovin, whose strike silenced the home crowd and left PSG chasing the game. 

PSG briefly found hope when Bradley Barcola pulled one back in the 71st minute after good work from Achraf Hakimi, but Monaco responded almost immediately. Just two minutes later, Folarin Balogun scored Monaco’s third goal to seal a famous 3-1 victory for the visitors. 

The defeat marked a rare home setback for PSG and could make the Ligue 1 title race more competitive in the coming weeks. Despite the loss, Luis Enrique’s side still remain top of the table, though rivals now have a chance to close the gap. 

PSG also welcomed back Ousmane Dembélé from injury during the match, a positive sign ahead of their upcoming European fixtures.
