Tottenham Hit by Injury Crisis and Poor Premier League Form Ahead of Champions League Clash

0

Tottenham Hotspur head into their crucial UEFA Champions League clash with serious concerns after a difficult run of injuries and alarming form in the Premier League.

Spurs have struggled domestically throughout 2026 and currently sit dangerously close to the relegation zone. The North London club are enduring an 11-match winless run in the Premier League, their worst sequence in decades, leaving them just a point above the bottom three and under intense pressure.

The crisis has been made worse by a long injury list that has disrupted the squad throughout the season. Several key players have missed matches, including attacking star Mohammed Kudus, who suffered a significant thigh injury earlier in the year and was expected to miss several important fixtures.

Other players have also faced fitness issues during the campaign, with reports of injuries affecting multiple members of the squad including Richarlison and Pedro Porro. The lack of available players has forced Tottenham to constantly reshuffle their lineup and has limited their tactical options.

Despite the struggles, there have been some small positives ahead of the European tie. Defenders Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Radu Dragusin have recently returned to the squad after injury layoffs, giving the team a slight boost as they prepare for the knockout clash.

Interim coach Igor Tudor has admitted that the club’s main priority is stabilizing their Premier League form rather than focusing entirely on European competition. With Spurs still fighting to avoid relegation, the manager described the Champions League fixture as an opportunity to regain confidence while the team battles through its domestic difficulties.

Tottenham now face a massive challenge as they attempt to balance survival in the Premier League with the pressure of competing on the Champions League stage. With injuries, poor form, and growing scrutiny surrounding the club, the upcoming European clash could prove to be a crucial turning point in their turbulent season.
