Fans at the Stadio Olimpico were treated to an absolute rollercoaster on Monday night as Lazio and Udinese played out a breathtaking 3-3 draw. In a match that saw leads change hands and a flurry of late drama, neither side could find the knockout blow, leaving both stuck in the middle of the Serie A pack.

The visitors drew first blood in the 18th minute through Kingsley Ehizibue, who silenced the home crowd after being set up by Jurgen Ekkelenkamp. Lazio struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, going into the break a goal down, but the second half was a completely different story.

The Second Half Explosion

Lazio came out swinging after the interval. Luca Pellegrini leveled the scores just five minutes after the restart, injecting life back into the Roman giants. The comeback seemed complete in the 80th minute when the veteran Pedro found the back of the net to make it 2-1, sparking wild celebrations.

However, the drama was only just beginning. Udinese refused to roll over, and Arthur Atta became the hero for the Friulians. He equalized in the 86th minute and then looked to have snatched a stunning winner in the third minute of stoppage time to make it 3-2.

Just when it looked like Udinese would escape with all three points, Daniel Maldini produced a moment of magic in the 95th minute, assisted by Pedro, to rescue a point for Lazio in the dying seconds.

League Standing & Form

The result leaves Lazio in 8th place with 48 points, while Udinese sits in 11th with 44 points. Both teams are now effectively out of the running for the European spots, but this match proved they still have plenty of fight left as the season nears its end.
