The magic of the Coupe de France is back under the lights tonight at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. It’s a massive semi-final showdown as RC Lens welcomes Toulouse FC, with both sides standing just 90 minutes away from a chance to lift one of the most prestigious trophies in French football.

For Lens, this is a moment for redemption. They’ve been knocking on the door of the elite for seasons now, and after a dramatic quarter-final victory over Lyon on penalties, the momentum is firmly in their camp. Odsonne Edouard, who has been in clinical form with 12 goals this season, leads the line for a Sang et Or side that is desperate to secure their first Coupe de France title since 1999.

The Rematch: Drama Guaranteed

Ironically, these two teams just met five days ago in Ligue 1, and it was a certified classic. Toulouse raced into a 2-0 lead before a red card to Yan Gboho turned the game on its head, allowing Lens to pull off a sensational 3-2 comeback.

Toulouse will be out for blood tonight. Despite their recent domestic struggles, they have been “cup specialists” lately, having knocked out the likes of Marseille to reach this stage. Manager Carles Martinez Novell knows that if his side can keep 11 men on the pitch, they have the technical quality to hurt Lens on the counter-attack.

Injury News and Tactics

Lens will be missing some key figures, with Kyllian Antonio and Jonathan Gradit sidelined. However, with Wesley Said and Florian Thauvin providing creative spark from the wings, they remain heavy favorites on home soil. Toulouse, meanwhile, must cope without the suspended Mark McKenzie and the injured Frank Magri, putting immense pressure on Gboho to lead the line and avoid another moment of madness.

With Strasbourg and Nice facing off in the other semi-final tomorrow, the winner tonight will know they are arguably the favorites to go all the way in the final. Expect a high-intensity, physical battle from the first whistle.
