Chelsea Football Club has finally ended a long search for a front-of-shirt partner, announcing a multi-year global sponsorship deal with IFS, a Swedish industrial artificial intelligence (AI) software company. The agreement makes IFS the club’s Principal Partner, with its logo appearing on the front of Chelsea’s men’s and women’s shirts for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

Breaking the Sponsor Void

Chelsea had been playing much of the season without a primary front-of-shirt sponsor since their deal with mobile operator Three ended in 2023. The club’s commercial team explored multiple options and temporary arrangements in recent years, but nothing had produced a lasting lead brand — until now.

What the Partnership Means

Under the new agreement:

  • IFS branding will appear on Chelsea shirts immediately, with the first appearances expected in Premier League and FA Cup matches this weekend.
  • Chelsea describes the deal as the start of a long-term strategic collaboration that extends beyond shirt branding — with IFS technology set to be used across club operations, performance analysis, and fan engagement.
  • While the logo is confirmed on shirts until the end of the current campaign, the overall partnership is expected to run through 2028, offering stability after a period without a headline sponsor.

Club Statements

Chelsea president Jason Gannon said the partnership reflects the club’s “intent to lead from the front — not only on the pitch, but in how elite clubs are built and operated,” highlighting opportunities to leverage advanced AI across football performance and business functions. IFS’s CEO described the collaboration as a perfect fit, with shared emphasis on precision and high-performance outcomes.

Looking Ahead

Although this sponsorship ends a commercial drought, Chelsea may still pursue an even larger long-term sponsor beyond the 2025-26 season. The club reportedly wants to secure a deal that maximizes revenue in future campaigns — a key priority for sustaining both competitive success and financial growth.
