Stop the count. Close the polls. We already knew it, but the Premier League just made it official: Bruno Fernandes is your March Player of the Month. Honestly, it wasn’t even a contest. While others were out there “putting in a shift,” Bruno was busy rewriting the Manchester United history books. We’re talking about a man who didn’t just carry the team on his back this month; he practically dragged them through the mud and came out looking like a million bucks.

The Numbers Don’t Lie (But They Do Embarrass Everyone Else)

Let’s look at the cold, hard facts from March. Bruno played four games. He registered at least one goal involvement in every single one.

Total Output: 2 Goals, 4 Assists.

The Record: He officially smashed David Beckham’s club record for most assists in a single Premier League season (16 and counting).

The Milestone: He hit the “100 Goals & 100 Assists” club for United. Only legends like Rooney and Giggs have breathed that kind of air.

Whether it was a pin-point cross for the Brazilians against Villa or that cool-as-ice penalty against Bournemouth, Bruno was the heartbeat of everything good happening at Old Trafford.

Why This Award Hits Different

This is Bruno’s sixth POTM trophy. He’s now tied with a certain Cristiano Ronaldo. Only Kane, Aguero, and Salah have more. Since he stepped onto English soil in 2020, no one—absolutely no one—has won this award more than him.

The haters will talk about “whining” or “penalty merchant” stats, but while they’re typing, Bruno is creating chances at a rate that would make a prime Kevin De Bruyne sweat. He’s currently just four assists away from matching the all-time single-season record (20). At this rate? He’ll probably get there by halftime against Leeds.

James Garner and Danny Welbeck had “nice” months. Morgan Gibbs-White scored a backheel. Cute. But when you’re comparing a spark to a wildfire, there’s only one winner. The Portuguese Magnifico is back on top, and frankly, it’s about time the rest of the league started showing some respect.
