Under the Friday night lights of the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Napoli prepares to host a desperate Cremonese today, April 24, 2026. While on paper this looks like a mismatch between the 3rd-place giants and a side sitting 17th, hanging onto their Serie A status by a thread, the atmosphere in Naples is tense.

Napoli’s fortress has finally been breached. Last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Lazio ended a staggering 26-match unbeaten home run in the league. With Inter Milan now a distant 12 points ahead, Antonio Conte’s side is no longer fighting for the Scudetto, but for survival in the top three against a surging AC Milan and Juventus.

Team News: A Heavy List of Absences

Antonio Conte has some major selection headaches tonight. The Partenopei will be without several heavy hitters:

Romelu Lukaku is sidelined, leaving a massive void up front.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo and David Neres are also unavailable, stripping the side of veteran leadership and creative flair.

Antonio Vergara remains out.

Cremonese isn’t faring much better. They are missing Jamie Vardy (yes, the veteran is still hunting goals in Italy!), along with Martin Thorsby and Michele Collocolo. For the “Grigiorossi,” every point is a lifeline—they are currently level on points with the relegation zone and haven’t won a game in their last three outings.

Head-to-Head: One-Sided History

The history books aren’t kind to the visitors. Cremonese hasn’t beaten Napoli in Serie A for over three decades. In their last three meetings, Napoli has dominated with an aggregate score of 9-1, including a comfortable 2-0 win in the reverse fixture back in December.

Predictions & Betting Angles

Despite Napoli’s recent dip in form and significant injuries, they remain the heavy favorites. Conte doesn’t do “back-to-back home losses,” and he’ll likely have his team drilled to perfection to avoid another embarrassment.

Final Score Prediction: Napoli 2-0 Cremonese

Top Tip: Napoli to win and Under 3.5 goals. With both teams missing key attackers, don’t expect a high-scoring blowout.

Alternative Bet: Under 2.5 goals. Recent trends show that neither side has been hitting the “Over” lately.
