If you missed last night’s NBA action, you missed a masterclass in playoff intensity. We are officially in the “do or die” stretch of the first round, and the cream is rising to the top. From Madison Square Garden to the high altitude of Denver, the league’s superstars are separating the contenders from the pretenders.

Here is everything you need to know about a wild night of playoff hoops.

The Garden Party: Brunson’s 39 Puts Knicks in Control

In New York, the vibes are immaculate. Jalen Brunson erupted for 39 points, falling just shy of another 40-point masterpiece, as the New York Knicks battered the Atlanta Hawks 126-97.

The Knicks now hold a commanding 3-2 series lead. It wasn’t just the scoring; it was the way New York suffocated Atlanta on the other end, holding the Hawks to under 100 points in a high-stakes environment. With Game 6 heading back to Atlanta on Thursday, the Knicks are one win away from a date in the Conference Semifinals.

Thunder Strike in the Desert

The Oklahoma City Thunder are proving why they earned that #1 seed in the West. Behind a relentless performance from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander—who leads all playoff scorers with a staggering 135 total points so far—OKC took down the Phoenix Suns 131-122 on their own floor.

Phoenix threw everything at them, including a gritty 26-point average from Dillon Brooks this series, but they simply couldn’t stop the Thunder’s depth. OKC has shown a maturity beyond their years, closing out tight games with surgical precision.

Jokić and the Nuggets Flex Their Muscles

The defending champs aren’t going anywhere. The Denver Nuggets handled the Minnesota Timberwolves 125-113 at Ball Arena. Nikola Jokić continues to treat the stat sheet like a personal playground, currently leading the playoffs in both rebounds (70) and assists (47).

Minnesota’s Ayo Dosunmu has been a revelation, shooting with incredible efficiency this postseason, but Denver’s home-court advantage and championship DNA were too much to overcome last night.

Playoff Snapshot & Standouts

Magic Keep Fighting: In a defensive slugfest, the Orlando Magic outlasted the Detroit Pistons 94-88. Orlando’s defense is legit, and they’ve made this series a physical war that nobody wants to play in.

Stat Leaders: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (33.8 PPG) and Cade Cunningham (29.5 PPG) are currently the scoring kings of the postseason.

Series to Watch: The Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers series is tied at 2-2, with Game 5 set to be a bloodbath in Boston tonight.
