AS Roma have officially closed a €35 million deal to sign Bologna forward Santiago Castro, securing one of Serie A’s most promising attacking talents.

Negotiations moved rapidly following Roma’s missed attempts for other target attackers earlier in the transfer window. Gian Piero Gasperini approved the move to bring the 21-year-old Argentine to the Stadio Olimpico on a five-year contract.

Key Details of the Transfer

Transfer Fee: Fixed package fee of €35 million.

Future Percentage: Bologna secured a 10% sell-on clause as part of the total package.

Player Contract: Castro agreed to terms through 2031 with an annual salary of approximately €2.2 million.

Outgoing Deal: Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk is joining Bologna on loan with an option to buy, negotiated alongside the deal as a separate transaction.
